Project Description

Everyone needs backup.

We’re all still getting used to longer wildfire seasons that bring with them rolling blackouts, leaving us without power for hours, if not days. In these cases, it’s critical for the City to provide its essential services to our residents and “cooling centers” as an oasis during hot summer days.

To make this possible, the City is adding battery energy storage systems at the Toyota Sports Arena and Main Police Station. These systems will ensure these City facilities and services remain intact for our community regardless of any Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event or weather condition.
